Romania was never an english colony AFAIK, but most people seem able to speak english. With english teachers like Bruce Willis, Jean-Claude Van Damme, Steven Seagal, Shakira, Britney Spears, Bill Gates (especially Bill, through his pirated Windows operating system) and others, it's impossible not to speak it. So, if you can hit two birds with one stone, why not do it? :) Now, for their blog, it's in romanian so, while both romanians and foreigners understand it, only romanians understand this one. One thing I can think about is that foreigners want business, while romanians want entertainment. And blogging is not business.
