I wish…

I wish there was a way to make sure others would put in as much effort as I do. At times, even those you know, fail to do their best. And if you recommend them, even if it’s their job, their contract, it sometimes casts some sort of shadow on you. Others might not see it, but you know it’s there.

Luckily for me, such things don’t happen to often. Most of the time, my recommendations are highly valued. But I hate it when someone’s momentary lapse of care and focus reflects badly on me and others I’d work with. It also reflects badly on them, why do they fail to see that?

    I really hate helping people who don’t care enough to help themselves.
    I got so sick of it that I decided never to recommend anybody again. I
    now simply say, “No, no recommendations.”

    Well, some of the people I;ve recommended are always doing a great job.
    So I am not ready to give up on them for the more flawed ones that are
    around me :)

    Well, I stand the risk of seeing this happening all
    over again :) As I still would need to get people to do things for me
    and they might screw up. But, to share a secret, I look forward to that
    day :)
