Many heartfelt congratulations on your engagement. What a wonderful thing to look forward to in 2010 – I think you are smart to put the date far in the future. We set ours 1.5 years ahead and are very glad we did it that way.

Funny – I also got an engagement ring this holiday, though I’d already been engaged for an entire year. Ricardo wanted to be sure I could pick it out, so we waited.

I wish you two all the best, and look forward to hearing about your wedding planning. Maybe I’ll have some good tips for you by then!

Tram, since I moved, but yeah, I get some reading out of this

Safiya, 5th is the day we started dating. 2010 is a good year as it somehow leads to both of our birthdays. June because, well, April, the month that 5th belongs to is in the middle of the Easter fast and we can’t do it and it was the next 5th happening in a Saturday
