Hi Georganna, I haven’t been using LinkedIn with such a specific purpose in mind. But I guess it would work if you put effort into it. I believe the Answers section is great to promote yourself as a professional and that new customers can be found on LinkedIn. I am however not an expert in this usage niche. Hi Alina, I was wondering if you find LinkedIn helps you as a writer, and if so in what way. Obviously it helped you find this woman to interview, but how about others contacting you to work? I'm also a one-woman operation and find most of my business coming from Google searches. I'm beginning to wonder if social networking is truly a feasible promotional avenue for writers and editors. Like Robyn, I am a one woman operation and share much in common with her, though I am much older. Note I said just “older” not necessarily “wiser”, since I missed the computer generation completely and know nothing about Social Networking. Robyn has kindly offered to help me move into the 21st Century and I welcome feedback from others who are “wiser” and have time to spare.
I wish I had time to chat and enjoy the blessings of the internet but like most of us, who are a “One Woman Show”, time is sadly lacking.
Knowing Robyn has been a blessing, which you will learn if you communicate with her. She is wise beyond her years, well versed in many areas and kind enough to share her knowledge. Thanks for printing her story
