Some fiction translations are actually excellent! Alex, true again! There have been dozens of pages written about poor subtitles. But when the subtitle is good, it's actually a pleasure analyzing it. Whenever you have the option, read the book the way it was imagined and written by the author. Like you said, it scratched my brain, ugh.
