We don't have IKEA here in South Africa so wouldn't be able to make much of a comment but by what I have read here they really do believe in customer satisfaction. I still believe in word of mouth it is the most powerful form of advertising, I know that if someone tells me so and so is brilliant then Ill try them out but if many people tell me about another so and so giving the worst service the worst products then I am going to avoid them big time, and not even give them a second thought, even if I would be that one exception to getting the best of everything from them.

Nice article I am really enjoying this site.

Karen, it really seems like they've given a lot of thought to how to make their customers happy! Everything there is designed to make you come back over and over again!

Hi Alina! I love IKEA too. The whole store sets you up for a happy experience. I even like that you can opt to have it built and delivered or do it yourself. My husband and I used to visit every week, and always left happy. It is interesting that it appeals to a wide mix of people. I don't even like shopping but I really enjoyed going to IKEA - kind of like Home Depot with a bit of Home & Garden thrown in I suppose. :-)
