Alina, for the first time we disagree, but just a little. Unfortunately, everything we do or say is PR. Kim's show does not have anything to do with professional PR; but then again, what is a professional PR in her world? Publicists who kiss parts of the anatomy I shall not name make a living by being indeed what you said they are - they became famous because they smoke special ingredients with the right people or with the sons and daughters of the right people. Our industry will always have bad seeds.

So while the show has nothing to do with what we try to defend as a standard, it has, unfortunately, everything to do with PR.

John, you are quite right, that entire quote is funny!

Loredana, I think PR is one of the top players in contest of industries with bad PR :) I don't know why, it's supposedly what we're good at preventing.

Silvy, I know, it happens in all industries. It doesn't make it better though. I swear I can't find that button! Then again, even if you wanted to stay, there's no point, there is no info!

Some people work for it, some people have the right friends. It works that way everywhere, no matter how high the level is.

Oh,and PS: you can stop the music. It`s a small button on the bottom of the page. ;) But there`s no need to worry about that because you won`t be staying for long. You have nothing to see there so it definitely doesn`t raise my interest. ;)

I'd like to stop for a moment to a special aspect: why PR attracts such associations? for... unfortunately PR has a bad PR in this way...

The statement of Timothy McDarrah made my day: “If he told me that the sun was hot, I’d try to keep in mind that the sun was paying him to say that" - hilarious!

Dear Jenny,

Now that you've called me a moron, you have showed how much you actually know about PR and yes, of course, you have convinced me that I'm so wrong!

Where exactly on this page, except for your comment, do you see and traces of hate?

Besides, no one was debating the show's ability to be entertaining. Pay attention if you can and try to understand what I am saying: I was discussing it's ability to describe the real PR world, instead of simply showing a shady part based upon which people can judge the rest.

Between you and me, if without partying you can think of no other ways to get some excitement in life, that's really sad.

BTW, next time you insult anyone on this blog, your comment goes to spam. Best of luck to you :)

Hi Maria, I agree there's little to like about their site. But it's not such a bad view on things, just a distorted one. And they are not the only ones building such an image.

I didn't like the site as well. It is no right that there is such a bad publicity, there is no reason to give such a bad view.

i actually think Alina the writer is a moron. There are different types of PR, some people do pr for copying machines and are miserable and these guys have an exciting life and do entertainment pr. Stop being a hater and get a more exciting job. This show will be entertaining, you need to get a life.
